I'm a big Ben Hadden fan and this episode with Scott Stallings was GREAT. Scott is a great great coach, would love to hear more with him.

πͺ Sometimes working out feels impossible. I love simple frameworks like this: Get some dumbbells, put them in your office.

Great advice from newsletter reader!
I had a nice email exchange with a reader of the newsletter who had qualified for 8 USGA mid-am and senior AMs over the years.
I was curious... as someone who would like to do those things... how do you play great competitive golf as a mid am over a long period of time? And I loved his answer, so thought I'd share it today. Big thank you to Mitch Wilson!

Your question about longevity and competition is an interesting one. Kind of got me thinking. The #1 thing is staying healthy. I have been fortunate in that my joints are still in good shape and I exercise regularly.
My routine includes the Man Flow Yoga program, TRX suspension training and Ryp trainer, lots of biking, and walking golf courses every chance I get (stay out of the cart)!
As for playing, the top priorities are keeping the driver in play, and being good with wedges, putting, and chipping. The majority of my practice time is in those areas.
I am also a big fan of Rotella's rules, and a student of Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott's "Be A Player". I really feel one of my competitive advantages is my mental toughness. I think you have to focus just as much on that as on the physical nature of the game.

Thanks for sharing, Mitch!
π³ Random things I like
βSaxx underwear - Just got my first pair. These things are awesome. Recommended.
βWhoop update - The battery life difference between the 4.0 and 5.0 is stunningly significant. You barely have to charge the 5.0, it lasts forever. Didn't expect this to be a big deal... but it is.
βTour Aim - I just got the TourAim training aid and took it out to the range. Realized just how many things this can do. It has configurations for:
1. Alignment
2. Swing plane
3. Putting setup
β
Legit no-brainer training aid that is really compact to travel with. Easy recommendation for any level golfer.
They even gave me a discount code that I can pass on to you guys, so this thing is affordable. GOLFWELL15β
