Swing Changes + A couple GREAT recommendations

I've been trying to track my golf game pretty religiously this year.

Making notes about my practice sessions and tournaments.

Trying to make observations about my swing thoughts, patterns, and what I've been doing.

I've been doing it in this app called Day One, which I use for all my daily journaling and logging, but it's getting cluttered and hard to sort through.

Curious what you all do?

I'd love to know. Hit reply and let me know.

And then read on for the rest of this week's Golf Well Weekly. 😁

Today at a Glance

  • NEW podcast on practicing so your range swing transfers to the course.
  • Ridiculous study.
  • Funniest video I've seen in awhile.
  • Is this new launch monitor the best new affordable options?!
  • My most used app of the summer (non golf related)

How to Practice So Your Range Swing Survives Tournament PRESSURE

New long-form podcast-type episode just out with Dr. Luke Benoit. He went really deep into what he is calling "the lab".

It's that space where you've made a swing change and it's working on the range, but you're struggling to get it to the course.

I've been doing a ton of practice this way and seeing the benefits.

It's been interesting to observe how the number of bad swings (post swing change) has decreased as each round in the tournament has gone on.

Learn more about what Dr Luke is doing with the Ryp Ignite program this is apart of here.

Check out the podcast on YouTube, Spotify, or Apple.

The Mevo Gen2 Just Dropped...

If you follow golf tech, you probably saw the Mevo Gen2 drop this last week. Curious on everyone's thoughts. Pretty good price point and generating lots of buzz.

People seem to have liked the old Mevo Plus. Personally I've never tried it, but curious what everyone is thinking.

At $1,199 it's now at a really nice price point. You get 8 courses for life, 18 data parameters, and full sim compatibility - no subscriptions.

As of right now it has no Pro Package upgrade option like the Mevo+ has. Guessing that's going to come down the pipeline eventually.

Anyone tried one yet?

I'm also curious how it compares to the Rapsodo MLM2PRO.

Tech I'm using (not golf related)

A new piece of tech has entered my daily life, which honestly has dramatically improved it.

I'm doing more voice-to-text than ever.

In fact, this right here is voice-to-text. 😁

But with this new app I found, I don't have to edit it or anything. It's called Wispr Flow, and honestly, it's fantastic.

Not sponsored, or an affiliate link. Just if you have to write or send emails or literally anything, get this app, you'll love it.

I have a hotkey which is for me the Ctrl button. Hold it down, start talking, and it spits out text like this.

Anyways... Random insight of the week for you.

I'm curious which one of these myths challenge a concept you believe? I can almost guarantee there's one in there because I was definitely questioning a few of them... Myth #1: β€œSwing your swing” every timeNew Concept: Learn to swing in lots of different ways, especially when you're young. Skill building comes from variability. Myth #2: You should swing your driver the same as your ironsNew Concept: Driver is a different motion. Attack angle and intent should vary. Myth #3: Impact location is...
