This week on the podcast: is your driver swing supposed to be different from your iron swing?

A listener asked it, so Justin and Luke went deep. Here's why it's worth 50 minutes:

video preview
  • Luke talks about the two types of swings you need... the πŸš€cannon vs. the βš“οΈanchor.

  • The 150-year-old move we stopped teaching. Snead's trail-heel lift. Turns out the pre-swing trigger the old-timers used is exactly the P0 move biomechanists are re-discovering now.

  • Fade the driver, draw the irons. Alex Fitzpatrick told me he does exactly this. Justin explains how the same swing gives you two shapes.

😴 Whoop shared an interesting correlation between "recovery" and average score.

New golf tech is getting RIDICULOUS.

Golf+ makes some killer VR golf software.

If you own a Meta Quest you can play really cool golf courses and it honestly feels like you're there.

Plus if you buy a "club" for the controller you can swing a club with real grip and weight of a real club.

It's awesome.

Idk why more golfers aren't super into VR.

They just came out with something that's even more mind blowing.

Putting simulation with a real ball and putter.

I pulled up Royal Birkdale and hit some putts around there. It's honestly just like being there and feeling the different distances of lag putting

The data is was capturing was pretty impressive.

Check it out.

I'm pretty dang confident in the next 3-5 years simulators (full swings) will be in VR/AR type set up.

It's going to get very very fun to play sim golf.

Have a great week!
