Can I beat a tour pro? + NEW SHOW!

Hey friends - I'm pumped this week to launch out the first episode of a new show called Range Rats.

The idea is simple...

I ask a tour pro to show me their most effective drill, and I see if I can beat them at their own game.

Alex Fitzpatrick joined me on the first episode and it turned out awesome.

Summary of the drills we covered at on the Range Rats episode

Drill #1: The “50-Foot Bank” Chipping Game

What it is:
You have 50 feet total to “spend.” Each chip’s distance from the hole gets added up until you run out of that 50 feet. Lowest number of shots wins.

Key Insights:

  • Alex’s personal best: 15 shots.
  • Tour pros average 10 shots.

Mini Masterclass: Spinning Chips on Bermuda

Alex’s simple keys:

  • Start with weight slightly forward.
  • In transition, shift more left.
  • On the downswing, stand up and rotate

The “9 Shot Shape Challenge” (Tic Tac Toe)

The Setup:

  • 9 different shot shapes: high/mid/low × draw/straight/fade.
  • Use an alignment stick and visualize the windows.

Why it works:

  • Helps decide what shot shape to bring to the course that day.
  • Forces you to practice with intentional variety and real feedback.
  • Makes warm-ups more strategic, not just mechanical.

Alex’s takeaway:

“I hit all the shots before a round. If one isn’t working, I don’t take it to the course.”

🙌 Well Played:
This Week’s Top Finds:

🎙️ I love great audio story telling.

NLU nailed it with the sounds of the masters.

This is such a great listen.

Please turn this on with some headphones.

📐 If you're looking for some experimenting to do on your launch monitor go test your ability to change landing angle.

✍️ What is Tommy doing with this putter?!

Rory

How do you even top this past weekend at the Masters?

Honestly, I don’t know if we’ll ever see something like that again in my lifetime.

It was a blast sharing the moment with my kids. They fired off a hundred questions about Rory and the Grand Slam, and I loved every second of answering them.

Funny enough, just two weeks ago I sent over a podcast and all my notes on it. There were so many insights and stuff that really opened my eyes to how much has shifted in Rory’s mindset and career.

And felt like I could see it on Sunday.

Would recommend going back and taking another peak at those notes and take a listen to that podcast.

Till next week,

-Cordie

Last week we talked about what has happened over my speed journey the last 2 years. TODAY... the speed plan for 2026. (plus at the end of this email... an update on something that really cool that came in the mail that I've been working on for the past 11 months) Here are the number goals... Ball Speed2026: 188 → 200 (+12 mph) Club Speed2026: 130 → 140 (+10 mph) 👀 😳 oh boy Yea that might seem ridiculous but I actually think it's in reach if I can do one thing... STAY CONSISTENT. So the...

It's goal setting season!! Anyone else get excited about this as I do 😂 Do you set golf goals? Yes! No I should but don't. For me the review of 2025 was the most fun. It was really cool to dive into all the data behind the speed training I've been doing. I broke all that down and exactly what I've learned over the last two years! Let's get into it... (Plus we have a new podcast about answering the critics of a recent video I'll get to down at the bottom of this email) SPONSORED CONTENT The...
