How pros ACTUALLY get better + 16 TGL thoughts
Published about 1 year ago • 3 min read
We have a lot to cover today! Our latest video has me SPRINTING across the driving range at the Floridian 😂.
Don't miss this as we cover some critical practice concepts that Claude Harmon III uses with his stable of tour pros. Plus I'll take you through my thoughts of TGL after getting to attend the Monday night match...
Claude Harmon III takes me through 3 unique practice games he uses with his top tour pros.
Want to train like the best golfers in the world? Claude Harmon III shares three must-try drills to simulate real on-course pressure and improve execution.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
“Most golfers over-practice technique and never train execution.” – Are you preparing for real-game stress?
“If you can’t control your start line, you can’t control your shot shape.”
“Relying on a rangefinder kills your instincts. Great players trust their feel first, then confirm it.”
“Your driving range practice has no correlation to how you perform on the course—unless you train under pressure.”
16 VERY RANDOM Thoughts From Attending TGL Monday Night
Went to TGL on Presidents’ Day and took a few notes from the Boston Common Vs Bay Golf Club match up!
Out on the field before the match!
Lights, sound, and seating was great. Would bet there’s not a bad seat in the house.
In the stadium you’re just watching guys play golf. No announcers or ability to hear players like we hear on TV. Feels obvious to write that hear but was surprising how it changes the pace and feel of the match.
Data is on screens in building for all shots. Very nice to watch that. Wish it was on broadcast.
They don’t use the front hitting area it seems like?
Grounds crew is constantly doing something. Changing hole locations, filling divots, sweeping sand off the green, raking bunkers. Probably 4-5 people always doing something.
Would love to see more seats added that allowed double or triple the amount of fans and hear it be legitimately loud.
Green zone is the most exciting part. You’re just waiting till the players get over there to see what happens.
There's a tiny drone flying around inside the stadium getting those cool moving shots. Pretty cool to see.
You can’t see the green slopes changing on the green.
I don’t know why the green spins. It seems like the same shots could be played if it didn't spin at all.
We need to figure out how to get them wearing jerseys! The jerseys were pretty sick they had at the shop.
We’ve got details! They swap the flag every hole so it says the right number.
The music is constantly changing. Gets to be a lot after awhile.
New hammer rule is a big improvement in my book.
Why did they build this massive stadium here? On the grounds of a community college? Wondering why we’re here at this location.
Everyone was definitely into it towards the end as the match came down to the last hole. Great vibes.
Huge thanks to Golftec for the hook up with tickets!!! Thanks Chris!
Was super fun to check it all out as I've caught most of the matches on TV. I'm a fan of the idea and honestly enjoy watching.
Green side seats are awesome.
Look how excited we were after the match! 😂
New practice app to improve your wedge distance control.
I’m always on the hunt for simple, effective practice tools, and Dr. Sasho MacKenzie just dropped a killer new app feature for wedge distance control in the Stack System.
I clearly need a ton of work on this, so you know what I’ll be practicing this winter!
To use it, you’ll need the Stack radar—grab yours here [Discount code GSL]. It’s an awesome system for speed, putting, and now wedge training!

I found a study + some data this week that every single golfer needs to think about. It's simple to understand and you can put it into practice TOMORROW. Here's what's in this newsletter: 35 out of 40 golfers chipped better this way. The arm-lock hybrid grip. Justin Kraft showed me something that made me immediately pull up my own swing on video. There are two distinct wrist patterns on tour. 60% of pros use one. 20% use another (60+20=100% 🧐 ). Once you know which pattern you fall into, a lot of other stuff starts to click.
