16 Game-Changing Innovations from the 2025 PGA Show 🏌️‍♀️

Last week hordes of quarter zip, khaki wearing individuals made their way to Orlando. (just kidding that stereotype isn't really true anymore)

I would say sunny warm Orlando but it was cold, windy, and rainy this time 😂

I've been going to the PGA since 2014 and honestly it's always a good time.

Whether it's hanging out with friends or checking out latest tech and gear.

Check out our recap vid as we gave it our best effort to bring you along for the trip and show you all the interesting stuff.

Here's the written recap (if you're interested in anything take a look at the vid)...

💨 CaddyTalk Windy Rangefinder:
CaddyTalk added a wind sensor to their rangefinder. Pop up the sensor, and it calculates how the wind will affect your shot.

PuttView’s x Foresight Integration: This sim set up is crazy. Puttview built a green that allows you to simulate any putt inside 10 feet. Might be my favorite find at the show and 100% needed in my sim :)

Grip Pressure w/ Sensor Edge + Liam Mucklow: Grip sensor tech is a new data set that is super interesting to explore. Liam Mucklow has been doing some testing and found some differences between tour pro and traditional "slicers".

One thing for sure is that pros grip hard at setup and most 10 handicap + golfers grip it WAY to softly.

👟 Under Armour Drive Pro Shoes: These shoes feature an extra spike, unique 2 type of spike, set up for more traction.

Testing showed an average of 11 extra yards off the tee. Curious how much this additional stability actually makes a difference.

Avoda Single-Length Clubs:
Was finally able to get a hands on look at the Avoda single-length clubs with a bulge face design. Great head shape and they look easy enough to hit. As a single length fan I'm going to need to try these.

Sportsbox Universal Swing Score: This markerless 3d motion capture system combines swing speed, efficiency, and consistency to give your score a swing. It’s a cool way to measure your game and focus practice on key weaknesses.

Bryson got a 91 score for his swing (you can see report in vid). I'm curious what my score turns out to be. Will update when I get a chance.

Cobra Revamped Wedges: Cobra updated their wedges with better grinds and a heel relief. I heard from Jake (Made for the Range) the turf interaction is next level, especially when you open the face for flop shots.

Bushnell Pro X3 Plus Link Rangefinder: Bushnell’s newest rangefinder syncs with Foresight + Bushnell launch monitors to show you what club you should be hitting.

Stack Wedge Mode:
Dr Sasho MacKenzie is back with another addition to the Stack app. He discovered that their Stack launch monitor is great at measuring ball speed and ball speed is 99% of distance for shots between 40-150. So he built a simple and effective wedge combine game.

I'll be honest my "below average" result was depressing. Time to get to work.

4D Motion: This shirt tracks real-time swing metrics on the course. The whole idea is to get 3d data out of the lab and onto the course.

Ping 440 Driver: I was at Ping in December and the new G440 impressed me when I got to see the Ping Man hitting it WAAAYYY out of the center. Lighter crown, and a "free hosel" all helped to lower CG and make it more forgiving.

GS Pro + Rapsodo Integration: GS Pro and Rapsodo have teamed up to bring some killer graphics and iconic courses to your Rapsodo set up.

Lagmaster Training Aid: This counterweighted mini club helps golfers fix wrist and shoulder issues. It’s a simple tool for better swing mechanics and more consistent shots.

Biomechanics w/ Dr. Rob Neal: We checked out the new markerless 3d system, Elva. Dr. Neal broke down a new metric we haven't looked at on the Road to 180 to gain more speed.

Last month I took an epic trip to Oregon and got a sneak peak of the new LAB Golf OZ putter at the HQ just outside of Eugene. The new putter has a great story (developed with Adam Scott) and is the first LAB putter that looks "normal". Hope you all had a great Christmas! I wanted to share about some recent travels and content coming soon. I’ve always been a fan of the way Ping shares their research. It's something they definitely don't have to do (and most other companies don't). Over the years, Dr. Paul Wood, VP of Engineering at Ping has been kind enough to join the podcast and collaborate on videos. So, when the opportunity came up to visit Ping HQ and dive deeper into their work, I jumped at the chance. I wanted to see...
